Eindelijk een Nintendo Switch update waar we écht iets aan hebben. Allereerst kunnen we nu naast screenshots ook video’s opnemen en delen! Je houdt gewoon de screencapture-knop in en hij neemt tot 90 seconden aan video op. Je kunt daarna een simpele ‘edit’ maken en je video posten op verschillende social media. Hieronder een korte instructievideo.

De video-feature werkt trouwens (nochtans) voor vier games.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (version 1.3.0 & up)
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (version 1.3.0 & up)
  • ARMS (version 3.1.0 & up)
  • Splatoon 2 (version 1.2.0 & up)

Men kan nu ook data overzetten naar een andere Switch. Het is te vergelijken met de ‘Data Transfer’ op de Nintendo 3DS, met als enige verschil dat alle data wordt ge-‘wiped’ op de bronconsole. Er zitten nog wel wat meer haken en ogen aan, zoals het volgende lijstje al onthult:

  • Both a source console and a target console are required to transfer user information and save data.
  • Both consoles must also be updated to system menu version 4.0.0 or higher and connected to the Internet.
  • A Nintendo Account must be linked to the user account you wish to transfer on the source console, and cannot be linked to a user account on the target console.
  • The target console cannot have more than seven users at the time of the migration (there must be room for one more user on the target console).
  • There must be sufficient free space on the target console’s internal memory to receive the data that will be migrated there.
  • Once the process is complete, the user information, the associated save data, and the software purchased with the user account that is transferred will no longer be available on the source console.” (bron: Nintendo)

Verder is er nog een pre-load functie in de e-shop bijgekomen voor het geval dat je een game wil pre-orderen en direct wil downloaden zodra deze uitgebracht wordt en wat profielpicca’s van Super Mario Odyssey en Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Waar is de Virtual Console zou je zeggen? Komt. Hopelijk. Nog.


UPDATE 20/10/17: Na de update gisteravond kwam ik achter een tweetal extraatjes! Er is een update voor je Joy-Cons! En wat nog interessanter is, is dat je je wireless headset nu native kan gebruiken op je Nintendo Switch.
